I was born in Michigan and came to California when I was 3 months old. I first lived in the Mojave Desert and at the age of 4 years, moved to Santa Cruz Ca where I spent 30 years, then made a move to Monterey County and worked in the Carmel Unified School district as a preschool teacher. In 2014 I decided I needed a change and moved to the Bay Area, where I taught preschool and directed a Christian preschool. During the pandemic, I was a nanny for 3 years for a toddler and preschooler. I am very passionate about early childhood education and have continued to educate myself through workshops and training to stay updated on recent research. In my free time, I enjoy visiting beach towns, I Love Avila Beach. Spending time with family and friends. Hiking, music, cooking, and being outdoors as much as possible. I have 2 adult children and a 7 yr old granddaughter. My hope for each child at Little Acorn Christian Preschool is to love learning and develop the necessary skills to be able to handle life challenges with confidence and resilience.
