Here at Little Acorn, we are inspired by the Reggio Emilia philosophy. This philosophy highlights the importance of rich, culturally responsive environments that promote learning. Reggio philosophy often refers to the environment as "the third teacher", with teacher one as the child themselves, and teacher two as the caregivers/adults in the child's life. When we take the time to create environments that are developmentally appropriate and reflect the children who spend their days within the classroom, we invite new learnings and discoveries.
