Autonomy, Sensory Play, and Schemas

We strive to give the children the autonomy they desire by observing what the children are capable of independently and by offering choices. We work with the children to practice skills like problem-solving, perspective-taking, and self-regulation. Sensory experiences are offered daily and give the child an opportunity to explore using one or many of their senses. Sensory play typically leads to prolonged engagement and exploration.
